The Revealing Wind
Lush green meadows stretched out before the group of adventurers, a line of dark pines that looked like they could be reached by nightfall.
“Those yonder trees would provide good cover and maybe we can start a small fire,” said the ranger, Tasefelas.
The druid, Maustelin, strolled away from the party for a few moments then returned, looking a little concerned.
“An excellent idea, Tasefelas,”replied Maustelin, “I believe that we will be expecting company when darkness falls, goblins, to be more precise.”
The Revealing Wind (Druidic)
Level 1
Range: One mile or one target within a mile per level of caster
Duration: Instantaneous
This druid spell allows the caster to discern whether or not a particular type of creature or animal (for example, “bugbear” or “elk”), or a specific person or entity is nearby (within the range of the spell) and in which direction. The druid must be out in the open as the knowledge is passed along by sylphs (minor elemental spirits of the air) who whisper the answer in the druid’s ear, but do not assist him or her in any other way.

(as cheesy as that line might sound it isn’t an advertisement)

I think the text may need a bit more refinement.
Let’s say, ‘yes’ is the answer. Then what?
Perhaps it should be worded to include more than a yes/no reply?
‘Yes, down by the stream earlier today.’
I was thinking about changing the range and saw your comment and I agree heartily. To this end I have changed the range and the wording a little.
Thank you for the comment and let me know if this makes more sense. Now it is more of a variable spell that a druid can use at different levels in different ways which I prefer over a static spell.
Yes, that clears things up.
Good deal.
