[New Spell] Wowing the crowd

2009 July 3

Wowing the crowd

Oh, no, not the dancing handkerchief!” Koram said, his face in his hands.

Would you shut up!” Chalk hissed out of the corner of his mouth as a slightly soiled handkerchief seemed to peek around and slowly emerge from Chalk’s pocket to the amazement of the small crowd of yokels, “I am trying to drum up some beer money here.”

Yeah, yeah, sorry,” replied Koram composing himself.

Wowing the crowd (Arcane)

Level 1

Range: 100 feet

Duration: Five minutes per level of spellcaster

Enterprising magic-users may use this spell to cause minor magical effects to happen for the amusement of the audience. A rabbit may spring from a wizard’s hat, coins may appear from behind ears, flowers sprout from sleeves, handkerchiefs may dance from a pocket, etc. All of these effects are seemingly real illusions that are plucked from the ether and will last for the duration of the spell, at which time these small items and animals will slowly fade and disappear. Note that anything that goes passed the range of the spell will fade away before the duration of the spell has expired.

Nice little spell for the imaginative player. Loved the deities and the P.O.T.S.W. this week too.

Also – Koram and Chalk, I like how your using this double act, it really works. They need a comic strip – no…an illustrated spellbook !

Sean, thanks a million! I try my best, no matter how rough the week, and the last two were a bit rough.

You never know where Koram and Chalk are going. :)
