Priorities Askew
Chalk suddenly stopped part way through his spell. The Scholar of Wexos noted something was wrong and looked around and saw a strange figure peeking around a wall.
Koram shouted and everyone’s attention suddenly went to the spot right in front of Chalk. A creature with a half a dozen clawing arms was trying to pull its way through a portal.
“You didn’t finish the spell!” screamed Knat. “It won’t be contained!”
Koram drew his Crystal Sword as Valance began summoning spiders.
Priorities Askew (Illusionist)
Level 2
Range: 10′ per level of illusionist.
Duration: Instantaneous (cover the subject’s task at hand).
When Priorities Askew is cast upon an individual that person receives a save versus spells at -2, failing that, the target of the spell is suddenly unaware of what is important and what is unimportant in the given task at hand. This could cause a rival spellcaster to miscast a spell or a guard to become confused regarding just how to treat a prisoner. When the subject of the spell is unsure of what they are supposed to be doing this gives the caster and anyone with them a three round window (30 seconds) to try to escape, cast a counter spell, attack, etc.
