Ok, I will probably get hassled for this one, but I resisted for a loooong time. Sometimes you just have to go for the gonzo.
“They can carry a bit of weight, I say we buy them,” Chalk said as he gestured at the pathetic looking sheep-people.
“No, I say not,” Koram said. “It is bad to enslave another, as I should know, being a slave myself and these wretches even more so.”
“They could feed the spiders if things got rough,” Valance mentioned.
Knat shook her head violently.
“Koram, for once, is right. They say that it is bad to mistreat these creatures,” the druidess offered.
“Fine, fine, let them be then!” Chalk snarled.
Koram bought the sad looking creatures and set them free, all bleated a quick thank you before scampering off.
“That soft heart of yours is going to get us all killed one day,” quipped Chalk.
“Maybe so, but today is not that day,” Koram replied with a smile.

Rather pathetic and docile, sheeple resemble nothing more than humanoid sheep. Often used and abused, these pathetic creatures are mostly defenseless and easily lead astray (-2 on all saves versus magic regarding illusions or mind-affecting spells). Sheeple are cowardly and prefer grazing in their sprawling pastures and forest glens, leading idle lives of leisure. Other creatures have enslaved these odd sheep-people; using them as henchmen and pack-bearers. Easily cowed and broken, they offer little resistance and are easy prey for creatures such as orcs, hobgoblins and humans (all of which have reported that these creatures taste like succulent lamb).
However, older and wiser people do not mess with sheeple or lead these docile creatures to bad ends because it is believed (and is indeed, fact) that sheeple are descended from beings who strayed from their gods ages ago and were thus cursed into these pathetic forms, but the gods are jealous and do not take lightly to those abusing their worshipers, no matter how angry they may be at their own devout. To this end, any member of the sheeple race that is murdered or driven to death through hard labor or death by misadventure prodded on by another has a 15% chance of reincarnating as one of the following:
1 Gnoll champion with 3HD
2 Ogre mage
Regardless of form, the reincarnated creature will retain a sort of memory of those who wronged it in its innocent form and seek a long and convoluted revenge. If the one(s) who slew the sheeple are not around the reincarnated creature has no problem setting up shop and destroying the nearest society.
