Senufio- Gray Slayers
“All will be revealed in good time,” the strange man told Graff, the innkeeper of the Drunken Dragon Inn.
The gruff man growled.
“You still owe me for a week’s stay in my room,” the innkeeper said.
The door suddenly burst open and a group of road weary adventurers strolled in.
“Graff! We return! Chalk and his companions safe and sound again!” the wizard shouted.
The stranger suddenly turned and regarded the newcomers with a sneer.
“Chalk?” the man asked.
“Yes?” the sorcerer inquired in return.
The man snarled and suddenly transformed into a hideous emaciated gray humanoid frog.
“I m afraid that you must die at the behest of my masters,” the creature snapped.
The brawl began, with Graff howling about fights at his inn constantly.

Among the senufio the Gray Slayers are the least imposing in appearance and the most dangerous. About the height of a man and somewhat scrawny, these bipedal frog-like creatures are the feared assassins of their masters and the most powerful of the lesser senufio. Yet these creatures too live in a kind of fear for anytime a body part is severed from a Gray Slayer, even a finger, it will, within four rounds, grow into an independent senufio (30% chance of Scarlet Marauder, Indigo Invader or Emerald Oppressor, 10% chance of another Gray Slayer). Many Gray Slayers have themselves been slain by maniacal senufio that failed to gate in others for surely nobody else would deliberately chop up a Gray Slayer just to create more senufio.
Gray Slayers roam the planes at will on assignments from their masters, usually in the form of charismatic humans and wielding a magical sword that is at least +1 although most (80%) have a quirk that compels these creatures to reveal themselves before they attack. Once per round Gray Slayers can cast the following spells: Detect Invisible, Ray of Enfeeblement, Locate Object, Web, Infravision, Tiny Hut, Arcane Eye, Polymorph Self (human/senufio), Massmorph and Passwall. Once per day these creatures can cast Dweomer of Rage and Vanish as well as trying to gate in 1d4 more Gray Slayers with a 65% chance of success. Rumors abound that these creatures are also able to enchant items with minor abilities or create lesser magic items.
