Two elven wardens entered the Drunken Dragon Inn.

We heard that there was some sort of scuffle here recently,” one of the elves asked curiously.

Aye, most of the damage is patched up. If it weren’t for Chalk and his companions who knows what damage that strange critter would have done?” Graff replied.

Where are these heroes now? We may buy them a drink for their heroics!” the other elf offered.

The innkeeper suddenly looked grim.

He said you’d be coming,” Graff said coldly.

Who?” asked one of the elves.

That monster that Chalk killed. He said that there would be avengers bearing swords that were even more terrible than him,” answered the innkeeper.

Both elves stood and drew their swords just before the floorboards erupted under their feet.

Also known as the Hidden Masters, the Lords of Misrule are the greatest of the non-unique senufio. Very rarely seen for what they are, these adepts of illusion control and manipulate entire civilizations to dance to their tune, cutting a path of reckless abandon before them. Armies amass at the mention of one of these creatures is heard for the devastation that they can cause is often beyond repair.

The Lords of Misrule wander the planes at will, almost exclusively in the form of a non-senufio. In combat these monsters usually bear two magical swords, each at least +2 and usually with more attributes (such as Wounding, +4 versus Humans, etc). In natural form a Lord of Misrule will use its claws to attack or a bite that will paralyze as the touch of a ghoul for two rounds with no saving throw. At will a Hidden Master may cast the following spells as a 9th level illusionist/magic-user: Darkness Globe, Misdirection, Fear, Hallucinatory Terrain, Confusion, Invisibility (Greater), Phantasmal Monsters (Greater), Shocking Grasp, Shatter, Dispel Magic, Hold Person, Polymorph Self (Humanoid, human, Demi-human/Senufio), Polymorph Others, and Teleport. Every two rounds a Lord of Misrule may attempt to gate in 1d4 more senufio with a 95% chance of success and an equal chance of any of the lesser senufio being called. Once per day a Hidden Master may use the following abilities: Duo-Dimension, Limited Wish, Veil and Prismatic Spray.

      And while I had read that post and I am sure it is lodged firmly in my mind, I was thinking of the old comic from the 90’s painted by many artists, including Simon Bisley of the same name, although I am aware that is is also a holiday tradition for a Lord of Misrule. However you slice it there is chaos.
