The strange knight seemed to fall in battle with Koram. Again.
“Cut his head off for good measure,” Chalk suggested.
“That seems rather barbaric,” said the Scholar of Wexos.
“Yet no less strange than this dreadful knight’s insistence on springing back to life after he has suffered mortal wound,” countered Chalk.
The Scholar of Wexos pondered a moment then nodded in agreement.
“The wizard’s right, hack off his head, just to be sure,” the illusionist replied.

The Relentless are those poor individuals who have been on the infernal planes too long while living and have been released onto the Material Plane to cause havoc. Most often adventurers or crusaders against evil, the taint of the lower realms has driven these people mad and their only thought now is to kill as they have become relentless killers. Once fixated upon a target a Relentless will use all of their abilities to slay that person. These monsters are immune to pain and mute, creating an eerie aura about them. Relentless often “play dead”, only to “spring back to life” (a surprise attack on 2-4 on a 1d6) to lash out at their foes. These creatures have unnaturally long lifespans, now being double what it normally would be for their race and as these monsters do not appear to age from the time of their transformation until the time they drop, the Relentless tend to cause a lot of damage until they are sent back to the planes below.
