Koram swatted at the two headed and four legged eagle as it passed low over him. The thing squawked and wheeled around to attack. The fighter drew his sword. The eagle made a strange call with one of its heads and flew into the high branches of a nearby dead pine tree.
“Well, that scared him off!” Koram exclaimed.
Valance pointed in the air. A half a dozen more of the large birds were swooping in to land by the first.
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” said the priest of the Spider God.
Magic crackled around Chalk as he began muttering a spell.
“Sometimes I wish you were the healing sort of cleric,” the wizard said to Valance. “Because I believe we are going to need some healing shortly.”

Vicious avian creature of unknown origin, the Norila Bird appears to be a two-headed umber eagle with four legs. Somewhat intelligent, these aggressive carnivores pick their battles well, and attack with two of their four claws and both beaks, which can be devastating in battle. Any time that a battle begins to turn against the Norila Bird these creatures will try to escape as soon as possible. Many nobles consider this bird a delicacy and send parties out to retrieve a quartet of these beasts for extravagant parties.
