[New Spell] Blessing of Aid

Blessing of Aid

What army have they got?” smirked Valance at the three Priests of Law.

The trio of grim clerics pounded their fists together in prayer.

Suddenly a dozen warriors stood behind the priests, ready for battle.

Chalk shook his head.

You had to ask, didn’t you?”

That is still not an army!” quipped the priest of the Spider God.

Koram drew his Crystal Sword as the Scholar of Wexos began a spell.

One of these days you are going to get us all killed!” muttered the illusionist.

Blessing of Aid (Cleric)

Level 2

Range: Special

Duration: One hour per level of cleric.

When a cleric or priest casts this spell he or she summons martial aid to defend either the party or anyone or anything requested by the summoner. Typically 1d4+1/level fighters of at least 1st level appear (add one level per two levels of cleric). These warriors are armed and armored and will obey the priest or priestess without question. There is a 30% chance (+5% per level) that special troops (elven archers, dwarf warriors or halfling thieves [scouts]) will be available if the cleric has need of them.

I like it- it reminds me of the way the skelatal warriors are summoned at the end of Jason and the Argonauts.
