Small bones were beginning to pile up quickly in the dungeon corridor, the sound of dozens of skeletal jaws clacking mindlessly was becoming overwhelming.
“Somebody do something!” lamented Koram as he kept swinging his Crystal Sword. “This is becoming unbearable!”
“Get back!” shouted Chalk.
The fighter staggered back and shut the door. Hundreds of claws could be heard scraping the oak door from the other side.
“On three,” the wizard said.
Koram pulled the door open quickly and the sorcerer cast a spell. Several burning spheres flew into the room and exploded. Moments later all was silent.
Nudge the gnome slipped forward and peered inside.
“Hey! There is a chest in here!”

Among the least of undead creatures, skeletal creepers are small humanoids, about the size of a gnome or kobold, with the oversized skulls of big cats or wolves. Mindless and fearless, these small terrors attack en masse, hoping to overwhelm any opposition before them. While basically unthinking automatons, skeletal creepers appear to be territorial on some level and often congregate in an area and defend it viciously.
