The spindly-limbed fat blue daemon floated by, cackling.
Nudge tried to throw a knife at it, slipped and fell on the path of ice the creature created on the dungeon floor, cursing.
The creature’s hideous laughter became hysterical.
Suddenly a trio of brightly colored spiders dropped from the ceiling on the daemon. The laughter stopped as the biting started.
‘This thing had better be guarding a huge treasure!’ Chalk exclaimed as he cast a spell at the flailing beast.
‘I didn’t find the map, the gnome did,’ Valance said with a shrug.

Vostko are blue skinned portly earthbound daemons, creatures from a long lost age trapped on the material plane. Very rare, these creatures are clever and vicious, floating from two feet off of the ground up to 10′. Mostly used by evil wizards or diabolical warlords as guardians of treasure, these creatures can be found from time to time operating independently, causing mayhem wherever they go.
The prime power these creatures have is to lay out a ‘carpet’ of ice 3” thick and 2′ wide up to 30′ long five times per day. This icy path is very slippery and slows those scrambling on the ice to 1/3 of their normal movement rate. The vostko can escape or gain a better attack position while their victim struggles on the ice, trying not to fall (68% chance).
