‘And done!’ exclaimed the Scholar of Wexos.
‘Navnen is safe for a while then?’ inquired Chalk.
‘To the best of my ability, this is not a foolproof spell, but it is what I have,’ the illusionist replied.
‘As long as he doesn’t suffer too much, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time for once,’ Koram added.
The thief found himself in a decent sized basement room with a small window and provisions for several days. A small pallet for sleeping was in one corner along with a lamp and several books.
‘Ah, life is rough!’ he said with a smile.
Safety Net (Illusionist)
Range: Touch or Self
Duration: Three days per level of caster.
Another oddball illusionist spell, Safety Net allows circumstances to line up so that the caster or one touched by the casting illusionist has a safe house or ‘bolthole’ that will provide 85% safety per day if not being actively sought by trained scouts/hunters and 70% protection per day to those being sought by professionals (for example, level 4+ ranger, thief, or a 4+ HD monster, etc). This spell is not perfect, but may offer some time for those on the run from someone or something.
