[New Monster] Herald of Fire Elementals

Herald of Fire Elementals

Valance, Chalk and Navnen sat on a tiled roof, enjoying the sunny day and waiting for Koram, who’s turn it was to get more wine. All three men turned their heads as they heard heavy footsteps thudding down the alley. Moments later a tall horned brute lurched into view, one burning eye staring around fiercely. It spotted its apparent target, the run down magic shop, and crashed through the front door.

‘Now that is something I hope is never after us,’ Valance said as the screams from within the shop grew louder.

The others nodded in horror.

‘What did I miss?’ asked Koram as he strolled across the roof, wine in hand, to join the others.

Sometimes sent by the elementals overlords to convey a message (usually with brute force) a Herald of Fire Elementals is a ten foot tall hulking brute encased in thick basalt armor, with one piercing eye, fang filled maw and curled horns emanating from the creature’s helmet. These creatures speak common and often deliver a message and sometimes a punishment and leave. If they are sent to leave a more brutal message the creature may attempt to grasp its target for 2d8 points of damage per turn as a normal action, the dreaded ‘molten embrace’ that often kills. These creatures also can Affect Normal Fires and cast Burning Hands at will and cast Wall of Fire three times per day.
