A half dozen of the strange creatures ran by Chalk and the others. Bipedal, they had their faces in their torsos and made odd chatter among themselves that seemed to echo in the small valley.
Valance waved his arms, scattering the annoying things that gibbered and shrieked.
Moments later a hulking brute of a giant appeared, apparently also annoyed by the flock of norfs, which then proceeded to teleport short distances out of the immediate area.
‘Oh great,’ Koram said as he drew his sword,’ those things just bring worse trouble.’

A strange creature, the Norf is a bipedal creature with no head, facial features are in the creature’s abdomen. These short creatures are semi intelligent and run in packs, make loud annoying noises and generally alerting everyone to their presence. While basically helpless the Norf has the ability to “blink” as a blink dog (up to 50′ within the creature’s line of sight), this comes in handy for the creatures when they attract predators, not so handy for explorers and adventurers in the vicinity.
