[New Spell] Ring of Elements

Ring of Elements

Fellhorn had cast the spell before the wizard could react, leaving the other spellcaster standing in a ring of swirling flames way over his head.

‘My bugbear bodyguards will mangle you,’ the wizard said.

‘Maybe, maybe not. Either way, we have your scrolls today,’ the druid said with a smile as he and his companions quickly looted the wizard’s tower.

A bell clanged in the room, rung from below presumably. The gnome illusionist rushed to the window and looked down.

‘Have you got another one of those fire spells handy?’ the gnome asked.

‘Why? What do you see?’ Fellhorn inquired back.

‘About a dozen heavily armed bugbears,’ replied the gnome.

The elf ranger dropped a handy of magical items.

‘I knew this was a bad idea!’ he shouted.

Ring of Elements (Druid)

Level 3

Range: 40′.

Duration: One round per level of caster.

This druid spell calls forth an element that encircles anything within its 10′ radius with fire, water, swirling air or dirt and stone. These elements are ten feet high plus one foot per level of caster and last for one turn (ten seconds) per level of caster. Anyone attempting to move through this elemental barrier will take 1d6+2 points of damage and may, in the case of fire, have any combustible items carried catch on fire.
