[New Magic Item] Jug of the Pinch Beetle

Jug of the Pinch Beetle

Uzeb the Wise shook his head as Jaundo unstoppered the big glass jug once again and whispered to the small humanoid beetles that emerged and happily ran off to fulfill their task.

‘What is wrong? They provide for us and we don’t need to go out risking our necks,’ the fighter said.

‘Magic is tricky and can backfire on the most learned, that thing is dangerous,’ the wizard said as he nodded at the dark glass jug.

‘Hrmph!’ Jaundo interjected, dismissing Uzeb.

Two of the three pinch beetles returned, they clicked their mandible-pincers furiously, dropped of a sack of bread and cheese and faded back into the jug.

‘Do you hear someone at the door?’ Uzeb said in response to the loud thumping at the door.

‘Who, me?’ Jaundo asked as he tried to ignore the sound.

‘I do not like to be right about these things,’ scowled Uzeb as he prepared a spell to shake off the mob slowly forming outside.
