‘I believe that we need to capture that goblin that got away,’ said Uzeb the Wise.
‘The archer? He is a tenacious little scamp,’ Jaundo responded.
‘No, I was thinking the goblin with the drums is the one wee need to catch. Especially since it seems that every time he plays those drums we see more and more two-legged monsters,’ explained the sorcerer.
‘Yeah, that one could be trouble too,’ an embarassed Jaundo said as he suddenly realized that one of the goblins must be summoning the other monsters with the drums.
Made of strange wood with odd runes cut into it with the top and bottom covered in cured and enchanted manticore hide, these drums are a hindrance and sometimes a sticky end to many a curious adventurerer.
Benefit: When these drums are sounded sonic waves travel through corridors and down tunnels, expanding the sound much further than it would travel normally. This effect alerts and summons all goblinoids and other humanoid monsters to the area, mustering them. This switches all wandering monster tables to summon goblins, hobgoblins, orcs, bugbears, ogres and trolls for up to one hour after the drums cease to be played.
