[New Magic Item] Knight’s Drowned Sword

Knight’s Drowned Sword

Krogi suddenly cocked an eyebrow while holding the strange sword.

“What is it?” Thoz asked.

“Do either of you see the ghostly knight standing before me?” the fighter asked.

“I can hear and see you,” the ghost-knight replied.

Arakam and Thoz jumped; the wizard tried to attune to be able to see the unseen, while the thief looked for an egress if needed.

“Orcs are coming. A lot of them. It will be a glorious battle if you have the spines for it,” the eerie ghost voice told them.

Thoz was the first to panic. Arakam tried to hold in his anxiety while Krogi gripped the sword and pretended to be ready for the fight.

The jangling of orc weapons and armour could be heard approaching; it was a haphazard yet brutal sound.

Sword-like in shape, this weapon looks more like a collection of the shells of various underwater creatures and small stones and other things found under the waves. May look like junk, highly sought after despite the metal long being rusted away.

Benefit: In combat this sword deals 1d4+2 points of damage, yet ignores armor as if ethereal and can be swung without penalty above or below water. In addition this sword may be used once per day to contact its previous owner as Speak With The Dead, allowing three rounds of communication per day. The spirit of the knight who owned the sword will not lie, yet will try to make answers difficult for Chaotic individuals.

Usable by: Anyone who can wield a sword.
